Testimonials
"We are so grateful to Alex Drechsler and his family for bringing the To the Top with Laptops Scholarship to Port Chester High School. When we were first approached about this scholarship, it seemed too good to be true. Four years later, the Drechslers have made sure that the program is still going strong! Since the program’s inception, twenty graduating Port Chester High School students have been fortunate to receive new state of the art Dell laptop computers and printers. Often moved to tears when they learn that they have been selected, these deserving seniors, who are on their way to college, would most likely be unable to afford a laptop of their own which has become a necessity in order to succeed. Words cannot describe the impact that this scholarship has had on the recipients!"

"To the Top With Laptops is an extraordinary program, and we at Yonkers High School are very appreciative of what the Drechslers have done for our students. It has been gratifying for us to see a group of motivated, hard working students receive the tools they need to work to their full potential in college. I know that the laptops have made a big difference in their college experience. Each year at our senior awards assembly laptop winners have been surprised and thrilled to learn they have been selected, and awarding of the laptops at our awards assembly has become a highlight of the program. I hope the Drechslers are able to expand the program so that more needy students are given this wonderful opportunity."

“To the Top with Laptops has made a significant difference in the lives of the 10 students who were granted this unique and generous award. I take pride in receiving correspondence from award recipients who continue to express their gratitude. The college experience for these students has grown exponentially thanks to owning a laptop computer. The distribution of this award is one of the most pleasurable aspects of my job as Assistant Principal of NRHS. To be able to bear witness to the looks of astonishment on the students’ faces is a joy to behold. I hope that I may continue to observe the positive impact that this award has made in a student’s life for many years to come.

“As the Executive Director of Her Honor Mentoring, I am proud to be partnered with To The Top with Laptops and the Drechsler family. In 2009, four of our Her Honor mentees from Mamaroneck High School (Victoria D’Andrea, Dana Dotti, Ana Ruano and Sagirah Wheeler) received laptops through their innovative program. This incredible gift provided these young women with a much needed tool as they started their college careers. To The Top With Laptops understands the financial constraints of many families. Their foresight and generosity has enabled students from all over Westchester County to move towards their goals with this critical technology in hand."
